Ray from RAC attends Clatterbridge Cancer Charity thank you evening

Ray Clark, Project Manager of RAC Painting and Decorating, recently attended a thank you evening hosted by the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for his fundraising work.

He helped raise over £2,000 for the charity as part of a small group that cycled over 140 miles in a single day from Nottingham to Meols, Wirral. It was a gruelling affair that took nearly 14 hours to complete and there were certainly some shaky legs for a few days afterwards!

The recent thank you evening revealed to some of Clatterbridge’s biggest fundraisers just how their money was being used – from improving existing services for cancer sufferers and their families, to the upcoming development of a new hospital based in Liverpool.

Ray said: “Undertaking the cross-country bicycle ride was extremely tough, both mentally and physically. However, getting the opportunity to see how we have been able to help this wonderful charity make a real difference was wonderful. Also, to hear from some of the people who had directly benefited from the amazing work they do was incredibly humbling and inspiring.”

We hope to continue to support the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, as well other local charities and causes in the coming months.
